Meet Ellis, he is one of our fabulous volunteers and has been since the early days when we first opened the centre back in 2018. Ellis first found out about us when he started bringing his daughter to our gaming sessions, she has autism and just like her dad loves gaming (as we’ve seen from him being the Pako World record holder!!) Ellis said as soon as he walked into the centre he knew it was his kind of place!
Straight away Ellis wanted to get involved and help out at our gaming sessions and since then he has barely missed a session! As a small team it can be hard if staff are off on holiday or unwell, but knowing we have Ellis at a session definitely gives us a sense of ease, he is patient and kind with the children and they all know and trust him.
As well as his volunteering efforts him and his family support us in many other ways, with them living in Sale they’re always spreading the word about us and helping gain local support. They have also done a number of fundraisers for Everyone Can throughout the past two years raising amazing amounts. His wife Julie also gets involved wherever she can and uses her incredible baking skills to help at our special gaming sessions!
Ellis is an incredible addition to our Everyone Can team and we’re so thankful for all he does!
